The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has been the force behind gardening for more than 200 years.  We believe everyone in every village, town and city should benefit from growing plants to enhance lives, build stronger, healthier, happier communities and create better places to live.  Our Vision is to enrich everyone’s life through plants, and make the UK a Greener and more beautiful place.
The Social Media Executive reports into the Social Media Manager and is an important role within a busy and dynamic Communications Team.  The Social Media Executive is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Communications Plan for all of the RHS’ social media channels.  This involves monitoring and providing engaging content for all our social media platforms and engaging and interacting with over half a million followers to excite and inform about the RHS’ diverse work and £160 million investment programme.
The Social Media Executive will need to work with colleagues and teams across the RHS, including Marketing, Public Relations, Internal Communications, Public Affairs, Horticulture, Shows, Science, Gardens and Estates, to plan and coordinate social media activities to further build awareness of the RHS and its work.
Supporting the Social Media Manager to look after the Social Media for the world’s most famous flower show, RHS Chelsea Flower Show, provides extensive exciting opportunities, but expect to be busy during May!
