Part Time 24 Hours/Week
Responsibilities:
• Greet members and visitors, strong use of customer service skills: verbal and written.
• Update social media as necessary, using creativity and originality. Use of analytic tools to track members’ engagement, followers and ‘likes’ on social media. Posts videos on You Tube, edit photos. Take photos of club events and features to highlight club’s positive aspects.
• Provide administrative support. Create charts, graphs, and word documents using Word and Excel. Use Google email on a daily basis.
• Provide clear and accurate information to members, as well as assist them with court bookings, junior tennis queries, equipment malfunction, complaints, etc. Function as first point contact for any issues that may arise.
• Take payments, issue receipts, record all money transactions. Reconcile daily takings at the end of the day following appropriate procedure and escalating issues as needed.
• Produce marketing material for club events, liaise with event coordinator and manager, promotion of special offers and events.
• Manage and update website on a regular basis with relevant and current information
• Enforce safety rules by reminding members and staff as necessary
• Maintain open communication with groundsmen for the club’s upkeep and maintenance needs.
• Pass on requests for event bookings to event coordinator.
• Tour prospective joiners, highlight advantages of being a member and answer questions in a knowledgeable and courteous manner.
• Complete health and safety checks, and communicate findings with pertaining staff
Skills Required:
• Hands-on experience on customer service, hospitality or sports and leisure clubs
• Solid understanding of hospitality procedures and best practices
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritise
• Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving aptitude
• Able to work club operational shifts between 0630 – 2000 including weekends
• Loads of adaptability, enthusiasm, desire and teamwork!
