SOC Lead

£700 per day
Company client is currently looking for an SOC Lead to join a financial services business based in London. You will be part of a team that is growing across many areas and as a SOC Lead, you will be in charge of overseeing the 1st line of defence for the business. This is a management role with a significant technical "Hands-on" element. There is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your career in an enterprise business that is investing in the latest technology.
As a SOC Lead you will be expected to:
* Manage a team of analysts to ensure the business has sufficient cover to monitor and manage incidents 24/7
* Report on the status of the security operations across the entire business, owning the weekly / monthly KPI reporting
* Lead and develop a team of 7 making sure they are performing and motivated
* Maintain knowledge across security tooling and threats
* Own the governance and evaluation of 3rd party suppliers
* Take responsibility of overseeing 24/7 response capability to incidents
Skills for the SOC Lead:
* Experienced leading in an operational security environment
* Advanced knowledge across; firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus and content filtering, URL filtering, authentication solutions, switches, routers, VoIP, firewall zoning
* Knowledge of effective incident response and computer forensics
* Strong knowledge of a wide range of computer science topics
* CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, SEC501, CGIH, ECIH etc. Qualified.
