The Small Works Community Manager requires an industrious, passionate individual with their finger on the pulse of social entrepreneurialism in London. This position is a special opportunity to build creative community relationships and ventures in Kings Cross, but also requires someone who doesn’t mind to get his/her hands dirty with the tasks related to the day-to-day management of the space. CLEAR VILLAGE COMMUNITY MANAGER
Job title: Small Works Community manager
Responsible to: Projects Director
Responsible for: Small Works Interns
Primary Location(s): Small Works Kings Cross
Salary: £21,600 p.a.
Post: Part Time (18.75 hrs/week)
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
+ Degree qualification
+ Self-starter, willing to show initiative
+ Excellent problem-solving skills
+ Demonstrable interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a diverse
range of stakeholders
+ experience in managing a space/ facilities
+ Knowledge about health and safety aspects of running a space
+ experience in community development or outreach
+ Stakeholder management skills and experience
+ Proven ability to work within a team and independently
+ Flexibility to work across multiple sites and projects
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Good time management skills – ability to multi-task and reach tight deadlines + Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Knowledge and understanding of Clear Village’s area of work
+ Proven ability to create and stick to budgets
Desirable:
+ Some database management experience
+ Some qualitative field and desk-based research experience
+ IT skills
+ Knowledge of graphic design, video/audio editing, photo editing + experience supervising volunteers
