Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle. We help everyone explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society in some of the greatest palaces ever built.
We have an exciting vacancy for a Part Time Skilled Gardener to work in the historic gardens around Kensington Palace.
These popular gardens include the impressive Edwardian Sunken Garden which is admired by our domestic and international visitors year round. Working in a small team and with a keen eye for detail you will have a passion for gardening in prestigious gardens; a professional all round knowledge of garden maintenance tasks; and an understanding of what it means to provide a 5 Star service to our visitors.
The gardens are small though varied including seasonal bedding, topiary, lawn care, herbaceous borders and a wildflower meadow.
The successful candidate will be positive, team focused and competent in using a range of horticultural machinery, for example hedge trimmers, lawn Mowers and strimmers. You will have a horticultural qualification at QCF level 2 or 3 and previous practical horticultural experience. A drivers licence and NPTC spraying certificate are both desirable but not essential. There will be some weekend and bank holiday working.
Successful candidates will be subject to Security Clearance.

Pay Range: 11 £20,500 per annum pro rata
