Antipode is a speciality Australian coffee shop at the top of our game. We have a focus on bringing the high-standards and service of Australian hospitality to London.
While coffee takes centre stage at Antipode, we also offer up a sharp typically Australian menu by day (including vegan and raw foods) and we're bursting at the seams for weekend brunch service.
The atmosphere at Antipode is fast-paced and vibrant, with strong emphasis on quality coffee, food, as well as cocktails served with superb and authentic service.
HEAD BARISTA (£9 - £10ph)
BARISTA (£8 - £9ph)
- part time or full-time roles available
We're looking for 2 x baristas (one head barista) to join us at our coffee bar in Hammersmith. Applicants must be enthusiastic, engaged, and passionate about both coffee and treating our guests with respect. The ability to cope under pressure (up to 5kgs of coffee before 10am), whilst maintaining both coffee standards and cleanliness is paramount
The candidates must have:
perfect free pour latte art
perfect espresso extraction
cope well under pressure
good interpersonal skills
fluent in English
must be available weekends
A general interest in food, craft beer and wine is also desirable
We offer a £8 - £10ph (30-45 hours per week) and we also include holiday pay.
FLOOR PERSONS / FRONT OF HOUSE (£7 - 8ph)
You will be coming aboard a coffee team operating at an advance level of coffee service with many years experience. We're looking for enthusiastic and engaged people to join us. The ideal person is someone who's passionate about good service, treating our guests with respect, compassion and recognition.
As well as working in a front of house capacity, we also train all staff in coffee preparation - you will learn everything from espresso faults, latte art techniques to the importance of workflow and equipment maintenance.
An interest in food, craft beer and wine is also highly regarded, as this role offers a wide range of scope to learn and develop.
There are many hours available which may range from early starts to late evenings but your availability should include a minimum of 3 shifts per week, including weekends and evenings. Interested candidates must be able to provide a minimum of 6 months to the role.
