Full Time Shop Manager required

Age UK Westminster is in the process of opening a second Charity shop in the heart of the Church Street Community. Our goal is to build on the success of our current charity shop, situated on Harrow Road, London W9, and generates an additional stream of sustainable income for our organisation whilst increasing our presence in the Church Street area.
We are seeking a driven, creative individual to help us launch this exciting venture. Initially our new manager will work closely with other Age UK Westminster staff, from both the shop and head office, to set up the shop floor, source donations and promote the shop opening.
Once the shop is up and running the post holder’s responsibilities will include the following:
Salary: £18,000 Per Annum, Plus 6% Pension Contribution
CONTRACT: 12 Month’s Fixed Term
HOURS OF WORK: Standard shop opening times are 9.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and the standard working week is 35 hours (5 days a week) for full-time staff.
HOLIDAYS: The holiday entitlement is 28 working days each calendar year. The shop will be closed during bank holidays.
Retail experience is essential, but preferably in a charity shop with proven managerial skills, energy and enthusiasm. Basic book-keeping and knowledge of excel or similar would be an advantage.
