Established since 1965, we are a Wine Merchant seeking to recruit a reliable Shop and Stock Room Assistant to join our small friendly team at our off-licence in Turnpike Lane, Hornsey N8.  Immediate start required.
Duties will include:
Customer Service
Answering Telephones
Ensuring the store is clean and tidy
Replenishing stock
Taking and preparing customers’ orders
Checking and rotating stock and stocking shelves.
Unloading and loading boxes of wines and Beers between 8- 20kg.
Helping to organize promotions, Special Offers and displays.
Complying with Health and Safety and Licensing requirements.
Serving customers on the EPOS system
The suitable candidate would be self-motivated, show initiative and a flexible approach to working. You should also have a good working knowledge of computers, basic math skills and a good command of written and spoken English.
You must have a flexible approach to working and be willing and able to work evening and Saturday shifts when required. Current opening hours are Monday-Wednesday 10 am-8 pm and Thursday-Saturday 10 am-9 pm. Currently we need someone to work the morning shift which is Monday to Friday 10 am-6 pm and Saturday 10 am-3 pm.
You must be over 18 to comply with UK licensing requirements. Sales experience is an advantage but not essential for a motivated and skilled candidate as you will receive full training.
