Ottolenghi's restaurant/deli in Spitalfields is looking for an Experienced Shift Manager with at least 2 years of restaurant management experience.
We are a very busy restaurant/deli so our ideal shift manager will have to be able to cope with fast pace and pressure resulting from our desire to deliver top quality service to our guests. Food and wine knowledge are vital.
Your main responsibilities as shift manager will include: training and motivating your team, advising guests on food, wine and cocktail choices, responding to guests' feedback with empathy and generosity, maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, health and safety and coordinating the entire operation to ensure floor, shop and kitchen teams work in full harmony.
In exchange we offer excellent pay, food, wine and spirit tastings, further coffee and wine training, staff meals, staff discounts, considered Rota with no double shifts and a great environment for working together.
We offer other perks for our staff (Code app subscription, Pension plan, Ottolenghi cooking classes , staff discounts, refer a friend bonus and others).
If you possess an irrational commitment to a cause coupled with deep professionalism that isn’t easily summed up, if you care about drink and food, about your self-development, about your colleagues and about your guests, if you have all these qualities and are just a little bit obsessive, it is likely that you will thrive and be nurtured in Ottolenghi.
You must be eligible to work in the UK and only successful candidates for shift manager role will be contacted.
