We are fast growing kitchen based in Park Royal (NW10) who need someone with the right experience to lead one of our production shifts.
The role:
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the right kitchen/small factory experience to join our successful and fast-growing business. The role would suit a person who is calm and highly organised with good communication and proven people management skills.
Key duties of the role:
• Organising small team (up to.
6) To maximize output, quality and safety of product.
• Prepare, cook and present food, quickly and efficiently, meeting our standards whilst minimising wastage
• Responsible for keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy, at all times
• Ensuring all paperwork is up to date in accordance with SALSA standards
• Liaising with office staff to ensure stock control
• Ensuring smooth incoming/outgoing deliveries from all our suppliers/distributers
• Providing feedback to Director/Production Manager.
• Ensuring that production records (including timesheets) are kept on daily/monthly basis.
• Work safely around kitchen equipment and monitor and deal with any maintenance issues
• Contribute to weekly meetings rest of employees.
• Any ad hoc requirements directed from Production Manager
Key requirements:
• experience in similar environment
• Working knowledge of the SALSA standard is desirable
• Food Safety Level 2 is essential
• Good people management skills
• Strong communication skills, with clearly spoken English.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• A team player with a flexible attitude who may have to help with other areas of the business
• Ability to motivate, support and encourage team.
Initial 6 month contract with a possibility to extend further.
Please note that summer is our busy period so commitment to work throughout the summer months is ESSENTIAL.
On-site parking is available (Landlord charges £100 / per month) although location company is within walking distance from North Acton, Park Royal and Harlesden tube stations.
