Our client is an exciting British carvery restaurant in Central London which requires a passionate Senior Sous Chef to aid the Head Chef in the day to day running of their kitchen and deputise in his absence. This restaurant, catering for around 150 covers, operates with the traditional service of the highest quality British meats and fish. The kitchen smoke all meats and fish in the kitchen and plate the dishes in front of the customers.
They require a confident Senior Sous Chef with the ability to lead its team of 8 chefs. The salary on offer is up to £34,000. The chefs in this kitchen work 45-50 hours per week over 7 shifts.
The ideal candidate will:
·experience at a similar level.
·Have a passion for working with the finest, fresh British ingredients.
·experience with smoking meats and fish would be a benefit but is not necessary.
·Confidence when working under pressure.
·Confidence preparing dishes in front of the customer.
·Be highly reliable and hard working.
·Have excellent communication skills and a good level of spoken English.
