Our client is a supply chain operator ranking in the top companies in Europe and the World. As a lead logistics provider, providing end-to-end solutions enabled by its infrastructure, its people, processes and systems.
In this job your department will provide integrated logistics solutions for customers specialising in the Projects / Oil and Gas sector
This job will require you to:
• Receiving/checking purchase order details from customer
• Liaison / expediting with suppliers regarding goods readiness dates/terms of sale
• Arranging collections and deliveries to LHR
• Physical inspection of cargo /submit OS and D report as required
• Arrange packing of cargo as required
• Requesting/receiving/checking export documents including LC from suppliers
• Consolidation of cargo for export by all transport Modes
• Booking space with carriers
• Completing export customs declarations/AWB/BL’s etc
• Maintaining/updating in house and external bespoke IT track and trace systems
• Respect for time /date deadlines
• Sales invoicing to client/authorising suppliers’ invoices in accordance with company rules
• Other duties as required and commensurate with the position
Duties include:
• Close liaison with customer, suppliers and packers
• Close working relationship with management and operations
• Good interface with other operations worldwide as required
• Maintenance of IT track and trace systems
• Maintenance of external internet portals
Key requirements:
• The ability to work extended/flexible hours to ensure that cargo is received and despatched in accordance with customer requirements.
• Educated to 'O' or 'A' level standard or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in international freight forwarding and/or logistics
• experience in UK customs formalities
• Knowledge/fluency in French and/or other European languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good personal presentation
• Flexibility on working hours
Skill Requirements:
• Good computer skills
• Able to communicate fluently in English
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• IT literate, especially in Excel
• Good team player
