ZIA LUCIA, winner of Time-Out London best local restaurant 2021, listed in several articles among the best Pizzeria in London is looking for a SENIOR PIZZA CHEF / SENIOR PIZZAIOLO.
Terms: Permanent, full time. Competitive salary.
Description: We are looking for a motivated and passionate Pizza Chef to join our exciting company. We have opened our first pizza restaurant in Islington last year: wood-fired oven coming from Naples, leveraging on the Founder’s expertise in the pizza making and restaurants’ management. We prepare 4 types of dough sow-raised for at least 48 hours: traditional, wholemeal, vegetable charcoal and gluten free.
We have ambitious growth plans for the next 5 years and we are looking for the right candidate to be part of our exciting growth story. Our menu is focused on pizzas, and it is accompanied by a selection of starters, salads and desserts. We source fresh top quality ingredients from local suppliers. Starters are Italian style and made with ingredients linked to pizza (eg mozzarella, burrata, vegetables, cured meat); salads are made from fresh ingredients and desserts are all home-made.
We are an independent company and an ambitious team with complementary skills: from restaurant management to marketing, from business development to finance. We wish to create a friendly and stimulating working environment and one of our key priority is to retain and fairly compensate our staff over the long term.
Zia Lucia has already been featured in more than 120 articles and reviews, blogs, specialised magazines and newspapers including: the Financial Times, Evening Standard, Time Out and Metro just to mention a few. In addition, just few months after the opening, we have won the Time Out Love London Awards as Best Local Restaurant.
Who shall apply:
The right candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in pizza making using a wood fired oven and experience is working in a high-page and busy environment. Your line manager will be the Head of Operations, who has 25 + years of experience in this sector. Proven experience in preparing different types of dough is an advantage.
