Key purpose of role
At DCD, we pride ourselves in a wide range of media products: the world’s leading global print and online magazine dedicated to data centre space, newsletters, content syndication, webinars and global industry awards. We are currently capitalising on great market opportunities and looking for a Senior Marketing Executive to spearhead growth in:

Audience – building engagement through our media and awards portfolio.
Sales Funnel – developing leads to fuel an experienced and successful media sales team.
Brilliant Customer Projects – working directly with key customers around webinars, content syndication and an array of paid-marketing delivery. Amongst our customers we have world leading multi-billion tech companies that will certainly excite any commercially-focused marketer.

Key relationships
The role entails management of a junior marketer and reports to the managing director, for media and shared services.  Key relationships include with the head of media sales, global editor, marketing director (events), head of data and our CEO plus a great team in our head office, in Shoreditch – right at the heart of much of what matters in business and in life! You will also be the key contact with our customers as well as a number of suppliers that we use in order to deliver an excellent, commercially oriented marketing activity.
Key activities:

Create, develop and lead delivery of all media marketing plans, across audience development, lead generation and customer projects.
Manage schedules, resources and implementation to ensure effective delivery.
Write effective copy for print, online, email and social media activity.
Build our database and work with the data team in order to ensure the right quality and segmentation of our data in order to achieve best results for our targeted campaigns.
Develop the media marketing team and build close relationship with the wider marketing team at DCD.

Criteria:

Degree educated, ideally with a CIM qualification.
A proven track record in B2B event marketing preferably with media/technology experience (4 + years experience)
Takes ownership and takes initiative, with excellent attention to detail.
Fluent/native English speaker/writer
Excellent copywriting and proofing skills.
Leading-edge social media experience
Creative and innovative approach to marketing - with the desire to test, evaluate and repeat what works.
Clear reporting on campaigns and business performance.
experience in or propensity to develop as a talented people manager.
Excellent personal planning and organisational skills.
Strong project management skills: ability to work across several projects with conflicting deadlines and manage time effectively.
experience shaping media partnerships – from scoping to delivery.
Direct relationships with customers
Understanding of DPA, GDPR and similar regulation.
Commitment to high standards and pride in delivering excellence.
experience working with Marketo, Salesforce, eTouches, Abacus, OpenX, ON24, Madison Logic, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office, InDesign or comparable products and services – plus more exciting stuff we don’t know about!
Knowledge of AdWords, retargeting, PPC, etc.
HTML coding a plus
