Full-Time Senior Executive Personal Assistant and Practice Manager for busy Private Medical and Medical-Legal Practice to Consultant Eye Surgeon in Central London. Monday to Friday, some occasional evenings by arrangement (two a month). Working from home (90%) with infrequent visits to Central London locations (Westminster, Kensington, Oxford Street, Great Portland Street). You will be the initial and central point of contact and responsible for all enquiries, appointments, diary, bookings for surgery, liaising with different healthcare professionals and hospitals, connecting with NHS secretary/typist. You will be supervising a part-time PA. Occasionally representing the Consultant at business meetings when necessary. Invoicing, collecting payments, data entry/spreadsheets. Must be comfortable with managing databases and basic accounts data. Full training and induction will be given to a suitable appointed candidate.
Essential Personal Qualities: Initiative, imagination, anticipation, maturity and intelligence are critical. Must be able to work alone and be highly organised. Must be thorough with meticulous attention to detail. Trustworthy, reliable, handling confidential patient information, plus discretion. Impeccable telephone manner and a great deal of patience. Essential skills: use of smartphone and email/internet, good at arithmetic. Other very occasional tasks include dealing with NHS patients, banking/post office, shopping and errands.
Qualifications: University graduate or equivalent. Previous experience of the healthcare sector is not necessary. A DBS check will be required.
