An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Event Planner to the join the rhubarb team at the Royal Albert Hall.
The Royal Albert Hall stands with the most iconic and acclaimed buildings in London, and hosts the world's most acclaimed orchestras, ballets, musicians and artists in the world. Our Royal Albert Hall operation consists of 3 dining spaces: Verdi Italian Kitchen, Coda by Eric Chavot, Elgar Bar and Grill, 14 bars, 1 retail outlet, 147 hospitality boxes and offers seated dinners for up to 2000 guests on a special raised floor in the auditorium.
To be a foodie is key in our business and one of many other existing responsibilities within this role is working together with our culinary team to develop menus, attend the tastings and to develop the offer to stay innovative.
Job role:
As part of the overall planning team, handle most incoming event enquiries.
As Senior Event Planner you will have responsibility for each event from quotation through to completion, followed by handing over to the Front of House Team for relevant discussion to take place.
Maintaining customer base and fostering existing business relationships.
Attendance of client meetings, revising quotations based on these meetings.
To maintain accurate and comprehensive records: Enquiry/Conversion tables/diary/boards/Tracking all new business enquiries.
Ensure ongoing communication with Third Party suppliers and revising quotes as appropriate.
To record details of all new activities including entertaining, meetings and presentations.
Attending the event on the day to introduce Manger and post event de-brief meeting when and where necessary.
Participation in Event Planner meetings.
Responsible for own administrative duties.
Staff planning and development.
Sales and revenue generation.
Candidate profile:
Proven track record of work experience as an Event Planner within a similar catering company, venue or hotel.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work quickly and under pressure, in a very fast paced environment, whilst maintaining the highest standards.
Intermediate MS office skills, budget and report writing skills.
Sales and negotiating skills.
Ability to communicate at all levels.
People management skills and team work focus.
Show and demonstrate relevant diplomacy and tact, maintain confidentiality at all times.
Good planning, time management and organisational skills.
Eligibility:
