As our Senior Content Marketing Manager you will develop and implement a credible, authoritative and personalised Member Marketing Strategy which drives engagement with the Vitality Programme, increases share of voice and positive brand sentiment, and delivers active and loyal brand ambassadors who help the business to grow.
Responsibilities as our Senior Content Marketing Manager include:
- Defines a Member Marketing Strategy to turn brand detractors, loyal members and brand advocates into brand ambassadors.
- Understand member and technical marketing data to create targeted and compelling multi-channel (print/web/email/social) campaigns.
- With our content marketing agency, Seven, lead the editorial strategy, creation and distribution of the bi-annual Vitality Magazine to Vitality members.
- Work with Brand, Distribution Marketing, Customer Marketing, Sponsorships, PR and Digital colleagues to ensure the holistic customer journey and communications plan is aligned and makes sense to a member.
- Support the Partner and Rewards and Sponsorship teams in leveraging all Vitality partnerships, sponsorships and ambassadors to members.
- Work with the Digital Optimisation team to power a ‘test and learn’ methodology for personalised member communications.
- Set engagement performance targets, regularly review the plan, evaluate and optimise accordingly to stay focused on the delivery of strategic engagement goals.
- Lead a team of two (Marketing Manager and Marketing Executive) and inspire them to creatively, innovatively, efficiently and effectively plan, develop and distribute the Member Marketing Strategy to hit strategic engagement goals.
- Ensure all member communications delivered adhere to brand guidelines to deliver a consistent tone of voice and design approach that is relevant to each member segment.
- Keep abreast of current market trends to ensure Vitality remains innovative in its marketing approach.
Skills and experience required of our Senior Content Marketing Manager:
Essential
- Demonstrable strategic marketing experience, preferably in an incentive based reward programme.
- Significant experience of CRM marketing across multiple channels.
- Strong analytical, numerical and strategic thinking skills.
- Creative planner and problem solver
- Great influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Insight and solutions driven
- Proven experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities at one time (and who can react to in-day deadlines)
- Calm and efficient under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills; positive and helpful approach.
- Team player who can work in a collaborative environment.
- People management experience with a leadership and coaching style.
- Copy writing and creative skills

- Magazine editorial experience
- A CIM, digital marketing qualification or equivalent.
- experience with content management systems and personalisation software.
- experience of using workflow and collaboration software, e.g. Jira and Confluence.
- Working knowledge of HTML and SEO
