A parent is seeking a tutor to work with their son at home, who has speech and language disorder and dyspraxia, being about 2-3 years behind peers. The tutoring should especially cover phonics, maths, and early learning goals. The boy does well with structured lessons, which incorporate visual supports. He benefits from a multisensory approach and over-learning.
Ideally this role will start early September and run 5 days per week in two hour sessions, ideally first thing in the morning, but with some flexibility.
The role will start in September, until a school placement can be found for him. After he starts school the parents would like to continue on an after-school basis one to two days per week.
The Candidate shall:
Have the right to work in the UK
Have a clear, recent DBS
Have experience working with children with SEN, especially speech and language disorders and dyspraxia
Have experience using visual supports
Be able to start early September
£30-40 per hour
