Wage / Salary: £22,000.00 gross per annum.

Essential experience: 2 years + SEN experience.
Desired experience: Speech and Language Therapy /Physiotherapy.
Start Date:  3rd September 2022.
Days and Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm term time only, 17 weeks school holidays per year, additional hours are available in school holidays, to be negotiated with the family.

Harry is a very happy, sociable boy; he loves animals, cars and superheroes. He also loves play dates with his friends, singing and drawing. Harry has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which affects his muscles, joint mobility and speech. He attends a mainstream school.
The family are recruiting for a professional and compassionate LSA to support Harry during school hours, accompany him home and spending couple of hours with him in the family setting. You will be responsible for implementing SLT, physio and O.T routines as well as promoting Harry’s integration with his school curriculum and activities. You will accompany Harry to any medical appointments at Great Ormond Street or St. Georges Hospital.
This job will suit someone ideally from a background of Speech and Language therapy, physiotherapy, special educational needs or teaching. You will need to be professional, empathetic and supportive, with a real passion for delivering high calibre support.
This role runs through the school term offering a very generous 17 weeks holiday per year. During this time there will be additional hours available to work with Harry in the family home.
This position offers the opportunity to assist Harry as he develops his speech, physical efficacy and as he develops educationally. This is a position in a prestigious mainstream school and you will have the opportunity to work with high quality therapists and educationalists.
