We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our managing team at Kingfisher Guarding Services. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing company with the potential for the right person to develop and progress in the security management field. The right candidate will be responsible and will take ownership of the day to day operational requirements and delivery of our services. It is essential that a high-class security service is delivered to all our clients.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Oversee operations, checking policies are followed and processes are completed as required
• Schedule and manage rosters for all staff
• Ensure all sites are covered and all contractual hours are completed
• Ensure all employees receive appropriate induction and training on site and are competent to undertake their duties
• Monitor the performance and attendance of staff and other operational matters and address any issues as they arise
• Provide training and updates for all security staff
• Conduct regular site visits / welfare checks
• Act as a motivator ensuring that all staff welfare issues are addressed and managed appropriately
• Review and improve security procedures, assignment instructions and risk assessments
• Produce weekly and monthly reports of operational activity
• Assist in the interviewing and selection of potential staff
• To undertake out of hours’ duty manager activities
• To be the single point of contact for any security related issues for sites/clients
• To ensure a professional and effective response to all security related incidents
The ideal candidate:
• Valid SIA Door Supervision License
• Full Driving License and own vehicle preferable
• Proven management/supervisory skills and experience in a security environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work on own initiative and utilise sound judgement
• Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations and remain calm under pressure
• Strong leadership ability
• Very well organised and good time management
• experience of using technical systems such as CCTV and card access control
• experience in a customer facing role with the ability to deal with challenging situations
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
