Lazerbeam Fire and Security was formed in 1996 to supply, install, and maintain electronic fire and security solutions in both commercial and domestic contexts and has been awarded NSI Gold status and are BAFE accredited meaning that we are subject to regular inspections by their governing bodies; because of this, all our work from administration to maintenance and installation, needs to be of the highest possible standards in adherence of strict guidelines.
An opportunity has arisen for a multi-skilled Security Installation Engineer to undertake the installation, commissioning, upgrades and modifications of various Intruder Alarms, Access Control and CCTV systems. You will also be responsible for carrying our pre-planned and reactive maintenance, whilst also being part of the emergency call out Rota. Requirements of the Security Installation Engineer
• It is essential that candidates have the relevant industry experience and working knowledge of security systems installation and servicing
• Qualified to NVQ3 standards, ONC or BTEC equivalent
• CSCS card or IPAF is desirable
• Electrical qualification is desirable but not essential, however you will need to be able to demonstrate a good level of electrical knowledge in safe isolation and installation
• Experienced in fault finding diagnostics, with the confidence to carry out initial assessments on unfamiliar systems
• Excellent customer facing skills with an honest and polite attitude
• Excellent time keeping and discipline
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, be flexible and responsible to challenges and able to follow instructions to learn new skills and embrace new procedures.
• A valid right to work in the UK with a good command of English
• Must hold a full valid UK driving licence
• As a requirement for the security industry, you must be able to pass a DBS check and full security screening
Your duties as the Security Installation Engineer
• Service, repair and commission new installations of various security systems
• Carry out planned installation projects for commercial and domestic customers to deliver customer satisfaction
• Adept in verbal communication and commercially aware to proactively solve problems with an analytical approach
• Role mainly covers, but is not restricted to Central and Greater London areas
