London’'s leading tuition centre is looking for talented and enthusiastic Secondary English teachers who would enjoy tutoring ambitious children how to pass exams with A Star or B grades in a calm and well resourced environment. Teach Key Stage 3 students the essential GCSE skills: Point Evidence and Explanation, Poetry analysis, short/compound sentences, variety of sentence starters, complex punctuation (ellipses, hyphen, dashes), the new English GCSE curriculum with an emphasis on traditional English Literature, Inspector Calls Orwell’s 1984, Animal Farm, Shakespeare and much more that you already know.
The lessons take place on weekday evenings and Saturdays. We teach children aged 11 to 18 using traditional methods. The children are taught in small groups based on age and ability.
Successful applicants will have a PGCE or B’ED and experience in teaching. Flexible hours to suit your schedule. Rates depend on experience. A regular commitment to the sessions is necessary. CRB clearance and support from two referees is required. Fluent English and UK Secondary English teaching experience required.
