We are looking for an experienced sash window painter/restorer to start immediately.
The role would mainly be based in a workshop in Twickenham, but there will be some work on site in the West London and Middlesex areas.
Key duties:
• Sand back and burn paint from sash windows/boxes.
• Carry out necessary rot repair work.
• Polish, re-seal and re-Glaze glass as required
• Prepare and paint to a high quality finish.
We require someone with a high level of attention to detail, self-motivated and can work independently.
Good spoken English is required and ideally we are looking for someone who lives locally to Teddington/Twickenham.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in restoring sash windows.
• Knowledge and experience of using the Repair Care epoxy resin system
• experience in cutting glass and puttying
• Clean drivers licence
• Carpentry experience would be beneficial but not essential
We are an expanding, family business with high standards and a good reputation. Initially the contract would be on a temporary basis for 3 months with a view to permanent employment for the right applicant.
