To become a Shimmer Salon Manager, you will have a friendly and welcoming manner and a natural ability to make clients feel welcomed and relaxed. You will have an abundance of tact and diplomacy, the initiative and desire to partner with the Directors to grow the business and to build great relationships with clients. Most importantly you will have the skills to lead, manage and motivate your staff so that your salon achieves amazing client satisfaction levels and exceeds its financial performance targets.
Shimmer Salon’s Manager is expected to be a Level 3 qualified and multi-year experienced beautician or nail technician and have at least two years’ experience managing all aspects of a busy salon environment.

experience:
 Multi-years’ experience as a ‘working manager’ managing a busy salon
 Level 3 qualified or equivalent and experienced as a beautician/nail technician.
Competencies and personal qualities:
 Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and scheduling skills
 Hold engaging conversations with clients to put them at ease
 Be courteous at all times with and demonstrate an ability to empathise with people
 Project a relaxed and positive attitude
 Look after both male and female clients and staff
 Demonstrate a full understanding of all policies and procedures
 Deal calmly with ‘difficult’ client and/or staff situations.
Summary of duties:
 Manage reception area
 Ensure client satisfaction
 Maintain and enhance standards in the salon
 Staff Management
 Stock Management
 Financial Management
 Deliver salon services to clients as needed.
Your basic salary will be negotiable, based on hours worked and the level of previous experience you have. We aim to beat successful applicants’ current salary packages, because we only want to attract, recruit and retain the best Salon Managers in the industry.
Working hours, patterns and environment
You will be expected to work 40 hours per week across our Salon’s opening days, which are from 10-00am, every day expect Sunday, integrating your hours with the hours worked by the Directors, so that Salon opening times are fully covered. Some evening work will be expected. Your working hours will, however, be negotiable.
