Sales Manager – Travel Industry – The Ned, London.
12 Month fixed-term maternity cover contract.
We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our fantastic team here at The Ned. As a Sales Manager – Travel Industry, you will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships and business levels relating to the transient 3rd party agency / travel industry segment, within the domestic, European and international market place. This includes conducting internal and external customer sales calls, presentations, preparing / executing action plans and maintaining relationships within this segment.
Key Duties:
• Manage and develop all related accounts within your responsibility.
• Maintain, prospect, independently solicit and book transient business.
• Exceed pre-determined room night and revenue goals as outlined by the Director of Sales.
• Conduct customer sales calls, presentations and ongoing account assessments to maximize revenue potential and harness key account relationships.
• Conduct site inspections, facilitate FAM trips, plan and execute sales trips and assume the responsibility as the direct sales contact within your market.
• As directed, participate in trade shows, conventions and promotional events within the hotel, the industry and customer organisations.
• Compile and analyse month end reports, review and implement action plans to address market share penetration identified through Hotelligence and marketing initiatives.
What we are looking for:
• Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in a face to face sales position with a proven sales record within the Travel Industry segment, preferably within an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, Outlook and Opera.
• Knowledge and experience in using market tools appropriate to the role (e.g. Lanyon, Sabre, Agenct 360 / Hotelligence)
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanour.
