Sales and Marketing internship opportunities at IRN
We are looking for a full-time intern for a minimum period of 3 months to join us and gain a unique opportunity to work with the team and get exposure and experience in the exciting world of business events.
With this internship, you will have the opportunity to get involved in the whole sales and marketing process at a global events organiser. We hold conferences and exhibitions in Oil and Gas, Commodities and Financial Trading, Infrastructure and Construction as well as a popular Security portfolio.
Amongst the skills that you will have the chance to develop are:
Sales:
• Have direct involvement with overall sales campaign
• Working with team to develop strategies before, during and after events
• Generating Sales leads via telephone and desktop research
• Organising and preparing agendas for weekly sales meetings
• Taking part in the in-house sales training sessions
• CRM liaising with clients post sale
• Opportunity to make commission on any personal deals won
Media:
• Learn how to communicate with media and handle the relationship
• Learn how to handle email communication
• Learn how to research and find the most suitable media
• Learn how the media industry works hands on experience
Social media:
• Learn how to use social media marketing
• Learn how to generate a buzz about a high level event
• Research, social media monitoring and leads generation
Marketing administration:
• Together with the marketing manager keeping all marketing activities on schedule
• Advertising records (press clipping)
• Database management
• News records with major news updates
• Competitors analysis
Candidate Requirements:
• Business Studies Background (preferred)
• Very good written and spoken English
• Multilingual candidate would have an advantage
• Commercially Creative
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
