Sales and Marketing Director - Premium Tea(Franchise and UK Retail stores)LondonGBP50,000 + Bonus The Sales and Marketing Director position is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development plans, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new - franchise/HORECA/Travel Retail - markets This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management.You will have previous experience as a high-level executive managing and mentoring both sales and marketing teams, crafting national and global sales plans, accurately forecasting sales predictions (local and global).You will be able to demonstrate market knowledge combined with trend analysis to inform planning and future business growth.You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate open communication between all departments combined with day to day management and motivation of teams to Garner their respect - a natural team leader.The Role* Develops and manages sales operating budgets and marketing plans.* Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, all social media channels* Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy in conjunction with NPD Product Managers (Food and Non-Food) to produce the highest possible long-term return and to ensure the business remains competitive and innovative.* Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to pre-set KPI's.* Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets, pre-agreed deliverables.* Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.* Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.* Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.* Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to Chairman.* Maintains consistent brand image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.* Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.* Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.* Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.* Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.* Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.* Analyses and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.* Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.* Reviews and analyses sales performances against activity to determine effectiveness.* Directs product research and development.You -* Business Acumen.* Excellent negotiation skills.* Communication Proficiency.* Customer/Client Focus.* Industry expertise.* Leadership / Mentorship.* Presentation Skills.* Problem Solving/Analysis.* Results Driven.* Strategic Thinking.* Technical Capacity.* Able to work under pressure and manage stress.* You will have the ability to travel internationally to all territories.* Be a holder of a full driving license.
