Position: Full time 5 out of 7 days (5 straight shifts /45 hours per week)
We are looking for a talented and energetic Prep Chef to join our dedicated kitchen team. You will be producing a range of hand-prepared seasonal healthy products, including soups, pastries and salads. You will need to be organised in your section and able to read and follow recipes using your own initiative. You will follow the high standards and specifications set by the company. Production kitchen experience would be beneficial. Immediate start.
You will be supporting an existing team in their delivery of our fresh daily ranges which are all prepared by hand to exacting standards with a mix of seasonal ingredients. We are also working to SALSA approved health and safety standards which need to be adhered to.
You will be a positive team player, with high quality standards of preparation. We expect a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Melrose and Morgan is an independent food retailer based in central London. We specialise in cooking seasonal food and believe that quality and flavour really matters. Our daily menu is bought in 2 shops by the local community who have come to expect a high standard of product and flavour in all that we sell. In our kitchens we make everything from scratch bringing in fresh ingredients daily and hand preparing to restaurant standard but in a homely way. Everything is about attention to detail and caring about the food that goes into our shops.We like to have a team around us who care as much as we do about the food that is made.
