Nationwide Cleaners is a national cleaning company established in 2004 providing domestic and commercial cleaning services. A vacancy has arisen at the East London office, which has been experiencing a period of strong customer growth. We are looking for an experienced, responsible and committed Office / Customer Service Assistant to join our team. You would need to be able to communicate at ease by phone/email/sms in both English and Russian and enjoy busy, multi-tasking environment juggling emails, messages, calls, etc. The job will be based at the company office in Woolwich Arsenal.
This is a part-time role of apprx 20 hours per week. Expected salary £8.50ph during the probation period rising to £9.00-10.00ph thereafter. Immediate start. This role is part-time, but may become full-time for the right candidate after 6 months. 28 days paid holidays.
Suggested hours will be 10am-2pm, Monday to Friday, but we are fairly flexible with the timings, so the hours can be discussed during the interview stage.
Key requirements and experience:
- EXCELLENT telephone manner, good standard of spoken and written English is ESSENTIAL;
- Competent with Email and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel);
- FAST typing speed 40wpm minimum is DESIRABLE;
- experience of working in the cleaning industry in administrative, customer service, supervisory or sales role is DESIRABLE (not as a cleaner);
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail;
- Self-motivated and pro-active individual, who is able to use own initiative;
- Would ideally live in South East or East London;
- Would enjoy being busy and multi-tasking environment;
- Driving licence would be useful;
- Russian language is ESSENTIAL.
The office is currently managed by 2 partners. You will be working in a team with another full-time administrator. Relevant training will be provided to the applicant, but you must fit the right requirements above.
The main duties include, but not limited to:
- Assigning jobs to cleaners;
- Managing cleaner replacements and holidays;
- Resolving ongoing issues with clients;
- Preparing customer information packs;
- Following up with clients to check if they are satisfied with the service;
- Raising sales invoices and chasing payments;
- Reporting to partners;
- Assisting with cleaners’ recruitment;
- Answering customer inquiries and taking orders by phone or email;
- Placing marketing advertisements as per agreed schedule;
- Assisting with marketing as instructed by the partners.
