Job description 1. Researches, analyses, and interprets financial information and market trends 2. Secures and arranges mergers and acquisitions on behalf of clients 3. Consults with lawyers and other financial experts as necessary to ensure legality and the best possible outcome for new deals 4. Assists clients with restructuring large debt obligations by negotiating agreements with financial institutions and government agencies 5. Identifies innovative business opportunities to help clients expand and grow 6. Works with clients to determine amounts of capital needed to meet business goals, and identifies markets or products from which to raise capital 7. Devising M and A strategies, identifying sectors and groupings of companies that might be viable business targets for clients 8. Conducting investigations into the financial and commercial state of companies subject to a particular transaction 9. Carrying out financial modelling, then developing and presenting appropriate financial solutions to clients 10. Constructing business ‘pitch book’ cases and presenting these to clients 11. Assisting in managing the implementation of a M and A proposition 12. Working with corporate finance colleagues to provide advice on capital structure 13. Assisting in project managing transactions, overseeing the negotiation of terms and developing proposals to raise funds 14. Constructing new issue and takeover timetables 15. Providing instructions to other colleagues and professionals, such as lawyers 16. Ensuring all the regulatory aspects of a transaction have been considered Skills 1.
