Main role and objectives:Assist in managing all team members within the Minibar and Room Service. To lead by example, assist the Head of Department in building an effective team, direction, coordination and evaluation of department. Ensuring appropriate professional standards of behaviour, work standards, productivity, practices and customer care are enforced. Your responsibilities:To take responsibility for the operation of the Minibar and Room Service in the absence of the manager when on duty.To take responsibility for the operation of room service and Mini bars in the absence of the room service manager or when on duty.To ensure calls are answered promptly and to the correct standards, up-selling takes place, orders are delivered in a timely fashion, and the set-ups are according to the manual. To ensure tray and trolley collection is completed to minimise dirty trays/ trolleys in view of the guests and ensure the Room Service Host is performing towards this goal and standard.To perform all tasks to a consistent and correct standard as per Standard Operational Procedures Manual.                                                     To verify and control Mini bar deficits and spot check on Mini bar standards.To ensure all VIP amenities are delivered to the right room with the correct standards and to spot check rooms on a daily basis.To liaise daily with chef in charge to discuss specials and food availability.
