Room Leader at Tinies Nursery in David Lloyd

Tinies Childcare is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Room Leader at its established David Lloyd Club in Northwood.
This is a full-time temporary role, maternity cover (40 hours over 5 days per week)
Main Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of 0-2 year Olds room, encouraging good practice and being a good role model
* Ensuring communication with parents to update them on their child’s progress
* Promoting positive working relationships with the parents and staff
* Supervision of children at play indoor and outdoor, and at meal times to ensure safety
* Supervision of team to ensure that children’s work is displayed effectively
* Ensuring that any food served is monitored and that we conform to Food Safety regulations
* Supporting staff in planning appropriate activities for the children, following the EYFS framework
* Taking charge of own key worker group, and informing parents and other staff of any other relevant information
* Maintaining children’s records inclusive of observations and their next steps
* Creating an attractive and stimulating environment
* In the absence of the nursery manager/deputy nursery Manager, assisting with the overall running of the nursery and supervision of the team.
All candidates must have:
• NNEB, NVQ2, NVQ3, BTEC or other appropriate qualification
• A minimum of two years post qualifying experience with children
• Knowledge and understanding of EYFS
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
• Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of Equal Opportunities
• experience/ Knowledge of OFSTED standards
• First Aid Certificate
• Food Hygiene Certificate
