Room Leader and Nursery Nurse - Clapham
£18,500 to £21,000 per annum – salary depending on experience and position
JBD Childcare Recruitment is working in partnership of a well-established Nursery. Our client is based in Streatham and an experienced, qualified Room Leader is needed. It is a friendly environment and a great opportunity to work with a close nit team.
Requirements
• Level 3 childcare qualification in early years or above (CACHE, NNEB, NVQ etc)
• Strong desire to work with, and care for children.
• 2 year’s experience as a room leader.
Room Leader – 2-3 year Olds
• Be able to lead and inspire a team of staff within the baby room.
• Be able to offer high quality childcare and ensure it is practiced within the room by all staff.
• Be able to inspire all children but also be a key person for a small group of children.
• Ensuring that the health, safety and wellbeing of the children are met at all times.
• All room leaders should have a strong desire to work with, and care for children.
• You should be kind, enthusiastic, patient and able to work in harmony with other like-minded people to provide children with the best possible learning opportunities, within a safe, stimulating and happy environment.
General information and benefits
• Monday to Friday working 40 hours per week.
• 28 days holiday per year, including bank holidays, increases due to service.
• Working for a well-established chain of nurseries.
• All successful candidates will need to be compliant with the nurseries requirements of reference checks and provide at least 2 satisfactory references.
• All successful candidates must be willing to undergo a DBS Police check.
• Various training on offer to enhance personal progression.
There are good transport links both via train and bus, and within easy reach of the local stations. The nursery is located near local shops and restaurants.
