Responsible to: Housekeeping Supervisor
JOB PURPOSE:
A room attendant is responsible for cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Vacuuming and sweeping carpets and floors.
● Moping floors as needed.
● Dusting, brushing, polishing, and vacuuming furniture.
● Dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliances and structural surfaces (e.g. Wall fixtures, window sills, vents), cleaning and sanitizing phones – make sure the card on the phone is in good shape – replace if needed.
● Changing linen and making beds, changing mattresses pads, blankets, or bedspreads when needed.
● Checking for rejected linen.
● Cleaning showers, tabs, sinks and bathroom items, checking shower head and bathroom tiles
● Removing used guest amenities and trash.
● Replenishing guest amenities and supplies.
