Retail Store Manager Wanted in London

Contract Type: Full time (40 hours per week)
Salary: £20-25,000 depending on experience
A central London florist is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Manager to head one of our busy stores. The retail manager will be a brand new role, and therefore this job is suitably challenging for the right individual.
The Company
Flower Station are a luxury floristry based in Baker Street, London. We create floral designs for breath-taking weddings, events, campaigns, product launches and photo shoots, and work with high profile clients and brands worldwide. We are determined to grow, and therefore this role offers plenty of opportunities for development.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall operations of the store, as well as management and performance of the existing team. The duties include but are not limited to:
• Motivating and coaching your team to achieve KPI targets, including financial targets.
• Confidently maximising sales and encouraging new business.
• Performance management, including disciplinaries and other employee relations based situations.
• Ensure excellent customer service throughout the store, acting as an example of best practice.
• Act as an ambassador for the company's high standards, and ensuring a presentable store.
• Focusing on shop profitability, and taking ownership of financial and operational administration.
• Ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
The Candidate
You will have previous retail management experience. Pro-activity and attention to detail are essential, and the role would suit someone who is passionate about retail.
You will need:
• Strong customer service skills
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong IT skills
• Team player
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• A positive and polite attitude
