The CompanyWe are looking for a Retail Brand Manager to join our highly commercial Brand Marketing Team, to manage our Retail partnership marketing including M +S Simply Foods.The Brand Manager role is a hybrid between a buying and category management and has full responsibility for delivering the revenue and profit targets of brands in their portfolio. Using trading and marketing levers such as building JBPs with suppliers and managing costs, macro and micro space, customer journey and interaction, range and product development, price and promotional strategy and in-store activation across all categories. This Retail Brand Manager role is responsible for 65 stores in Marks and Spencer estate. We are looking for someone with Retailer or Grocery experience in a fast paced challenging environment.The RoleAs a Retail Brand Manager, your key tasks will include: * Generate 12 month Brand Plan which addresses brand growth, awareness and business objectives * Develop regular range review programme based on commercial mix, customer and operational feedback and analysis to drive decisions on range effectiveness to achieve increased sales and profit per unit. * Using a price optimisation approach, competitive and contractual benchmarks recommend brand pricing activity to the Head of Category to drive brand specific profitability. * Working with Trading team and relevant stakeholders ensure the brand personality is fully represented in the brand design packages (eg: construction manuals) * Ensure Brand Audit forms and mystery customer briefing sheets reflect up to date brand standards * Regularly review (at least quarterly) the progress of the brand against brand plan to ensure on target and make changes as appropriate. * Monitor competitor activity (new products, promotions and pricing) on a monthly basis and highlight any opportunities to the Head of Retail.The DetailsWe are looking for an experienced Brand or Category Manager previous brand experience within a Retail environment. * Excellent computer skills - Word, Excel, Power Point and brand and category management systems. * Knowledge of strategy deployment and the development of customer communications * Flexible and adaptable approach with excellent team working skills * Ability to positively influence colleagues, managing subjective issues with sensitivity * Ability to manage complex and multiple tasks with good prioritization skills * Proven track record in delivery of sales, profit and margin and all relevant commercial and brand marketing KPI'sThe BenefitsSSP is a world-wide retail catering company with operations in 32 countries and employing over 30,000 people.
