HIX Restaurants are looking for bright and ambitious individual to work closely with the general manager, in a fast paced, exciting and dynamic environment. We are currently seeking an experienced full time Restaurant Manager to work at Mark Hix's restaurant in Bankside, Southwark. Mark Hix serves the best British seasonal produce available with regularly changing menus and this is a great opportunity to work with one of Britain's leading chefs and restaurateurs. Mark has four other London restaurants, in Mayfair, Soho, Shoreditch and Farringdon and one near his home town in Lyme Regis.Set behind the Tate Modern, and just minutes away from Borough Market, Hixter Bankside follows the success of Tramshed - awarded Time Out's Best Meat Restaurant just months after opening. Set in what used to be an old metal box factory, the building is full of fascinating artwork from leading British artists and the menu delivers chicken and steak in sizes designed to share. Downstairs is the latest outpost of Mark's award-winning cocktail bar Mark's Bar.It will be a demanding role in a 100 + cover restaurant so at least two years' experience in a similar role and a strong command of English is essential. The right candidate will be a team player with exceptional customer service skills and able to cope in a demanding role.
