We are looking to recruit Restaurant Hosts to work between 2 of our sites - Flesh and Buns and Shackfuyu.

Flesh and Buns was the first restaurant in London dedicated to steamed buns and Japanese drinking food. People come to enjoy a selection of creative Japanese dishes served on small and large plates in a casual atmosphere to the soundtrack of rather loud Rock Music.
Shackfuyu was our pop-up that became so popular we made it permanent, serving Yōshoku food – Western-inspired Japanese dishes. This is no-holds-barred food for the soul. The inviting, intimate setting encourages you to grab a quick bite or stay for hours, whether that’s for lunch or dinner.  Either way, you’ll be licking your fingers, wiping your face and coming back for more.

As a Host, you will be our customer’s first point of contact so we will need you to provide our customers an outstanding first impression; from taking phone bookings and confirming online bookings, to welcoming guests when they arrive and leave.

You will have at least 1-years experience in a customer-facing host role within hospitality and a decent level of spoken and written English. It is a busy environment that moves at a fast pace so we are looking for someone who is confident, energetic and has the ability to engage with customers on all levels.

Your main job will be to take bookings and allocate tables accordingly to make sure that the booking system is as organized as possible. You will also be in charge of operating the Open Table system. experience WITH Open Table IS ESSENTIAL.
The role will require you to work between 2 different sites (5-minute walk apart)

You don’t have to have experience with Japanese food or culture but the ideal candidates should be passionate about food and drinks.
