Recruiting Experienced Door Person– Veeraswamy, Regent Street, London W1B 4RS
The first impression is the most important.
Veeraswamy, the oldest Indian restaurant in the UK is looking for just the right person to convey this to our discerning guests.
This is not a security position. We are looking for a person who is charming, well presented and hospitable.
You would be responsible for ensuring that all our customers consistently receive the best service from a friendly and caring welcome to all our customers on arrival and the most important final point of contact on departure.
The Role:
Duties will include:
• Welcoming all customers on arrival to the restaurant in a friendly and professional manner
• Handling customer requests in a professional and efficient manner, such as calling a taxi or giving directions
• Ensuring that the lobby of the restaurant is kept clear and that customers do not have to queue.
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment – both inside and outside of the premises.
• Inspecting on a daily basis, all external areas, reporting any defects, security or Health and Safety concerns to the General Manager.
Requirements:
• You will need very good communication skills.
• Excellent presentation – you will be required to wear a uniform with an Indian head gear.
• Have had some previous experience as a Door person working within a high end customer service establishment.
You will need to be able to work 5 / 6 evenings 5.30pm to 11– 30 hours per week (dependant on either working 6 or 5 days).

Rate of Pay – circa £11 - £12 per hour (dependant on experience). We also offer: Staff meals on duty / staff vouchers / staff discounts / training and development on the job
