What we’re looking for:
You’ll need to have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Commis Chef, Kitchen Chef, Grill Chef, Tandoori Chef or Kitchen Manager, and be comfortable in a busy kitchen. We will pay you 25K per annum for your first year, 26K your second year and 27K after year three. After 3 years, you’ll be in our chef development program which will see you develop your career further.
About Dishoom
Bombay’s Irani cafés welcomed all – rich businessmen, sweaty taxi-wallas, poor students, families and courting couples. They began as tea-shops set up by immigrants from Iran around the turn of the last century. Open all day, every day, democratic and affordable, they faithfully served the community. But from almost 400 at their peak in the 1960s, now fewer than 30 remain. Dishoom draws on the heritage of these cafés, and our all-day menu pays homage to the food of Bombay.

What to expect:
Above all, Dishoom is about food. And as a Commis Chef, Kitchen Chef, Grill Chef, Tandoori Chef or Kitchen Manager, your job is to make sure every guest has an incredible time with us, by sending out amazing food from the kitchen. You’ll be managing your own section where you’ll be supporting the kitchen team in taking care of the food for hundreds of guests a night. We get very busy in the evenings and it’s our dedicated team of chefs who ensure that every guest gets the high standard of food they’re expecting, for order after order. The pace is very fast and you’ll need to remain calm under the pressure.
