Our flagship site, Pachamama is a successful, innovative and well established Peruvian inspired restaurant, based in Marylebone, Central London. We have recently opened Chicama, a modern Peruvian-British seafood restaurant in Chelsea and are looking for sensational people to join our teams
The Restaurant Buyer's duties:
Have at least 3 years of Purchasing experience in Food and Beverage Industry
Knowledge of food markets in London
Have experience working with food suppliers
Full English Driving Licence without Points or outstanding fines
Be physically fit and ready for lifting and carrying (occasionally)
Take good care of the vehicle and drive responsibly
Be proficient user of Microsoft Office, Emails, Whats App chats etc.
Tasks:
The candidate will be trained by the Maintenance Manager to do the job
Work 5 days a week, from 03:00 until 12:00 every day, Saturday / Sun days off.
The candidate will have to drive to designated markets and purchase seafood, meat, poultry, dairy, fruits, vegetables, liquids etc
The candidate must understand prices and have an analytical approach towards choosing the right products
Can identity the freshness of certain products (by smell, looks, etc)
Be able to keep track of seasonal and price fluctuations (keep their own spreadsheet sixth average weekly prices)
All the purchased products must be distributed among the two restaurants in London (address below)
Apart from executing purchasing, a candidate must be able and always ready to help Maintenance Manager in other duties.

Official full time employment contract
Competitive salary
Salary is paid once a month (every Friday)
Report to Maintenance Manager
Parking the car will have to take place at 18 Thayer st , W1U 3JY
Staff food twice a day (at 11:00 and 16:00)
