Residential Building Project Manager/Assistant to Director
Permanent Contract
£25,000 - 30,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
About Pyramids Construction Ltd-
We are a reputable residential building company based in Fulham, South West London. Our company has phenomenal growth planned over the next few years and we are looking for a new project manager to work closely with the Director to develop the business. Pyramids Construction specialises in high end residential refurbishments and provides all building services from concept and design through to the finishing touches of the build. We strive to be the best in our industry and we are looking for a driven project manager who also strives to be the best.
The successful candidate would have a proven track record within the residential general building industry, ideally 3-5 years experience working on internal and external refurbishments, extensions, basements and Loft conversions. You must be able to fully comprehend Architectural and Structural drawings and relate to these on site. You must also have an ability to liaise between these professionals and building control. You must have a full drivers licence.
Job Role –
We are looking for a well-mannered, articulate and confident person with the ability to cope well under pressure. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to relate well with people at all levels and converse in a polite and courteous manner. Your time will be split between office and various sites.
The successful candidate will be used to dealing with the intense pressure of organising building projects on time, on budget and to the highest possible standard. Pyramids endeavour to offer our clients a premium service with responsive and efficient communication throughout their building project. Our business requires all team members to have a ‘can do’ attitude to meet the specific demands of our clients.
The right candidate will be able to foresee potential problems before they arise and facilitate solutions in order to save time and money. A flexible attitude towards working hours will help in this role. We are looking for someone with a good sense of business and eye for detail with regard to profit margins and quality of work. As we are a growing company, there will be the opportunity to create your own unique role within the business depending on your skill set and ambition.
You will need to be highly proficient in all general office skills including IT skills (full experience of Microsoft Word and Excel on a Mac is essential) and other office skills. You must be fluent in English and have excellent English written communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Holding regular early morning appointments with clients on site (7:30am start) and some evenings appointments where necessary.
- Written communication with clients and sub-contractors using excel, Gsuite calendars and email correspondence.
- Training will be provided for pricing jobs. Any experience in this field would be a bonus.
- Carrying out Rams, site inspections and general health and safety administration.
- Performing a variety of task in order to assist the Director in the day-to-day running of the business.
Skills and competencies:
- Excellent understanding of Auto CAD drawings
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and numerical skills
- An ability to multi task with limited supervision
- Must have attention to detail, and produce work with a high level of accuracy
Education and qualifications:
- Academic qualifications and related industry qualifications are essential
Advanced/expert user in MS Office Suite of software for Mac.
