The Reservationist is responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition and booking of all guests, and to ensure their details are accurately and efficiently inputted into the Open Table system providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to guests throughout their booking experience.
JOB DUTIES:
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and most holidays
• Communicating clearly and effectively with guests and co-workers
• Answer telephones in a prompt manner with appropriate scripting
• Answer all email enquiries promptly, accurately and with appropriate templates, if necessary
• Receive and record guests’ dining reservations on Open Table, correctly and appropriately:
1. Accurate allocation of tables in the correct restaurant
2. Ensuring that all appropriate communications are followed with all bookings
3. Promote and distribute information about SUSHISAMBA events and promotions
4. Maintain contact with the Reservations and Events Manager to ensure that booking details are handled properly and customer’s concerns are addressed
5. To stay up-to-date with general knowledge about SUSHISAMBA and Duck and Waffle concept and cuisine
6. To stay up-to-date with London events, restaurant trends and transport issues
7. To be able to prepare reports for the restaurant per shift, if necessary and requested.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT:
• Aware of department targets and objectives, and to strive for their achievement. T be aware of SUSHISAMBA’S financial targets as a whole
• Take positive action to meet department objectives and targets
• Proactive in maximising sales and generating revenue
• Effective communicator with guests/clients and at all levels of the venue
• Follow procedures concerning reporting of data
• Ensure security, functionality and proper handling of company property in the department
• Fully conversant with all menu items and their presentation
• Check the reservation and ensure it is correct before bidding farewell to the guest

• Assist the entire team in the smooth running of the department
• Assist in ensuring that the department complies with all statutory and legal requirements, including fire, Health and Safety, licensing and employment
• Clear working knowledge of all company policies and operate within them at all times
• Undertake any other duties as and when required by Management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Fluent English speaker
• GCSE/O Level standard preferred
• Knowledge of IT systems (Open Table/Respak preferred)
• Prior industry-related restaurant experience preferred
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest relations, written and verbal English language skills
• Must have a professional and well-groomed appearance
• Ability to multi-task and follow directions
• Must be able to work effectively under pressure
• Must be prompt, courteous and reliable
• Flexibility in scheduling strongly preferred
