Researchers: Behavioural observations (8 posts)
Location: London
Salary: £11.00 per hour plus enhancements
Contract: Casual contract
Keep Britain Tidy is conducting research to better understand the issue of ‘abandoned picnics’ litter in parks, and to monitor the impacts of a pilot behavioural intervention to address this issue. As part of this research, we are looking for eight researchers to conduct behavioural observations in four London parks in August and September.
You will need to attend a briefing session at our London office on Friday 25 August 2022 to receive training in conducting behavioural observations using our methodology.
You will then need to complete four x 6.5 hour behavioural observations sessions on agreed weekends in August and September. It is essential to this project that the observations are conducted on warm weather days only, therefore you will need to be available and flexible about your days of work across August and September, and be open to shifts being postponed at short notice due to bad weather. Our rate of pay includes enhancements to cover this aspect of the project.
After each observations session, you will input the data you collected into an Excel template provided by Keep Britain Tidy. This data will be due for submission to Keep Britain Tidy three days after the relevant observations session.
Participation in the research is on the condition that the successful applicant has completed the training on 25 August 2022. Successful applicants will receive a paid enhancement of £40 each for completing all four days of the behavioural observations and the associated data entry within the timeframes specified.
You will be expected to travel to your allocated London park and Keep Britain Tidy’s offices at your own cost and in your own time for the duration of the research.
Full training will be provided at the start of the project.
Please download a copy of the job description from our website for further details before applying. To apply, please submit a CV with a covering letter, no longer than one A4 side, along with the Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form held on our website stating why you feel you fit the criteria we are looking for and highlighting relevant skills and experience for the role to the email address shown.
If you have any questions, please read the full job description before contacting: Rose Tehan, Market Research Manager, contact details held on our website.
Deadline for applications: 9am on Monday 21 August 2022.
Interviews: Tuesday 22 August 2022.
We recommend that you submit your application before the closing date as these vacancies may close earlier if sufficient applications are received. Additional roles will be advertised in the future so please check back with us.
Please note that only successful candidates will be contacted.
No agencies please.
