We are a well established small company in the removals industry looking for the services of a proactive Removal porter / driver to work on a 3 month contract with possible permament position afterwards.
You’ll need:
A friendly manner and good communication skills.
A careful and methodical approach to your work.
The ability to work out the most effective way to load items.
An honest and responsible attitude to other people's property.
The ability to read maps and follow directions.
What you'll do:
You’ll move household and office furniture and other items to new premises or into storage. You’ll usually work in a small team. Your day-to-day duties could include:
Checking with customers which items are to be moved.
Taking apart larger items of furniture for packing and removal.
Removing doors, door frames or windows to get large pieces of furniture in or out of a building.
Packing items, loading them into your vehicle and securing them safely.
Driving to a new location and unloading items.
As a specialist packer, you might go to a location before the move to wrap and pack delicate items, like china, glass, artwork and antiques. You might also put furniture into special wrappings and packing cases for shipping overseas.
You must have a good command of English. A clean driving licence although we will consider you if you don't drive.
The initial 3 month contract is a guaranteed 50/60 hours per week, 6 days a week. Great English is required.
