Are you playful, proactive and fun? We are looking for a experienced, patient and warm au pair plus/ live in nanny to look after our two daughters (8 and 5 years old) before and after school and take care of light household duties (keeping the house tidy and full responsibility for the children's bedroom and play area as well as their laundry). We already have a regular cleaner twice a week. A good cook would be preferable to make simple family meals 3 x per week. Timings will be around 3 hours in the morning (7.15-10.15) and then 5 hours in the evenings after pick up - in total around 40 hours per week. We also need a few nights a week babysitting but this varies from week to week.

Pay will be from £300-£450 per week for 40 hours (depending on your level of experience and how much you're willing to take on), with no extra costs to you as food/bills/travel expenses with children will also be included. During the school holidays we will need you to work extra hours for which you will be paid extra. Driving licence preferable but not essential (in which case you would be insured on our car). You must love dogs as we have a gentle, elderly terrier who will need to be walked daily.

You will need to have perfect spoken English, a lot of energy and enthusiasm, but also be able to discipline where necessary. You will need to read with the girls and do their homework with them as well as be the point of contact for all their after school activities. Someone with previous teaching experience (although not essential) would be perfect, to make learning fun and spot potential problems. A can do approach and using your initiative is essential plus knowing where to set boundaries and teaching them good manners. Sole charge is essential and for our girls to feel safe and happy when we aren’t with them.In return we will be welcoming and as helpful as possible and flexible where we can be. We will provide a comfortable double bedroom with wifi in the basement of the house with its own en suite shower and private street access.

We live in a quiet residential street in Shepherds Bush, 1 minute from Goldhawk Road tube and 8 minutes from Westfield and Shepherds Bush tube. It is an interesting and vibrant part of London.
