We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Team as a Regional People Business Partner for London and the South East. You will support the Head of People in achieving the People team’s strategic objectives. You will act as a change agent in managing organisation change relating to people activities e.g. Talent, Performance, ER, Reward, Recruitment and Projects.You will work closely with the regional operations managers and lead on our talent and performance agenda to support the organisation in becoming a great place to work. You will also coach and develop your people on best practice, challenge upwards and ask critical questions to ensure the delivery of the overall people plan. Responsibilities include:
Support the Head of People in the delivery of the people strategy. You will be responsible for shaping and translating the plans into a relevant and meaningful actions, ensuring your regions needs and priorities are met. Devise and deliver appropriate people strategies to ensure the ongoing engagement of all staff. Works closely with the Operations team and other line managers to deliver a cohesive approach to staff engagement and empowerment. Monitor and utilise key Human Resources metric data to proactively identify opportunities for improvement Conduct regular reviews, recommend and implement improvements to the company's policies, procedures and practices. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures the company's compliance. Work with your managers to upskill, assist and advise them in carrying out their responsibilities on all People matters Assist the Operations team in the annual review, preparation and administration of the PDR process Identify individual, team and company learning and development needs and facilitate the acquisition or design and delivery of suitable solutions. Identifies resource needs and co-ordinates all relevant recruitment and selection activities. Update and maintain a HRIS system Promotes, and where appropriate participates, in working groups and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities at all levels. Owns the Talent for the region, looking to engage and develop all Duty, Deputy and Hostel Managers Maintains good administration of all Employee data, keeping all employee data relevant and up to date as set out by the Head of People. Lead on restructures, acquisitions and TUPE.
In order to be considered for this position, we are looking people who can:
Graduate CIPD qualified (desirable).Ability to work with and advise managers on a range of employment issues, including disciplinary and grievance procedures. Confident communicator (both verbal and written) with a personable and professional manner and the ability to interact and relate to all levels of staff and build strong working relationships. Excellent IT skills (including Microsoft applications) with the ability to identify and apply IT solutions. Good knowledge of industry and key changes. Project Management experience (desirable)Ability to demonstrate confidentiality and understanding when handling sensitive situations and information. Good organisational skills. Good judgment and decision making skills. experience of delivering Training and learning and development events (desirable).Good knowledge of YHA and understanding of industry (desirable).Current full driving license (desirable).
