Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist/Administrator to join the team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a part time, contract basis and will receive a salary of £17,422 pro rata.
Peabody and Family Mosaic have merged, creating a new housing association providing 55,000 homes to 111,000 people across London and the South East. Our combined scale and strong focus on London will uniquely position us to revolutionise housing delivery and redefine best practice – and you will be central to making it happen.
The Receptionist/Administrator will be responsible for providing a welcoming and professional reception service at the Centre and administrative support to the Childcare Initiatives Coordinator. The role of the administrator is integral to the successful and efficient delivery of structured childcare initiatives programs. Responsibilities include promoting childcare as a positive career opportunity and managing the administration process for childminding, apprenticeships and, the mobile crèche. Information sessions are delivered periodically and the administrator is expected to participate in the preparation and delivery of these events.
Other duties of the Receptionist/Administrator include the provision of administrative support to manage, recruitment, tracking and monitoring processes of apprentices and childminders. The administrator will create systems for archiving files, checking the suitability of trainees and processing business grants. To ensure participants are effectively served by the programs, the administrator will work closely with all relevant contacts within the Early Years’ Service, Sure Start, local colleges, DfES, OFSTED, and other agencies to ensure best practice within the service.
The Receptionist/Administrator will need to be subject to a background enhanced disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) before any appointment can be confirmed.
