Receptionist/Medical Secretary
a team player, happy to help with anything office related, with excellent communication skills, a sympathetic manner and discretion with the
ability to deal with sensitive medical information adhering to Information Governance and Date Protections rules at all times.
The duties will include:
 Providing personal assistant support to consultants
 Prompt email flow - dealing with incoming and outgoing mail responding to queries from patients, healthcare professionals and insurance companies
 Diary management – organising clinics at four locations; arranging follow-up
appointments, new patient registrations and introduction to consultant using
booking sysytem
 Clinic letters – audio typing; ensuring patients, General Practitioner and consultants etc. Receive copies promptly via email, fax or post
 Results – diarising and chasing results, ensuring results are scanned on to system and emailed to consultant in a timely manner
 Invoicing and billing queries – patient and insurance billing including credit control. Chasing deliquent accounts and ensuring patients pay on time.
 Telephone queries – dealing with queries from patients, hospitals, labs, insurance
companies etc. Ensuring voice and text messages are cleared by end of each day
 General admin duties and prioritising workload including file management, scanning and faxing
 Strong IT and organisational skills with working knowledge of Word,
Excel and other Windows programs
 Cross cover for Secretaries
