Rail Product Specialist Opening

Job purpose
The Rail Product Specialist helps manage product, content, inventory and operations of our rail, hotel and ancillary offerings.
Duties and responsibilities
• Support the Rail Product Management team in developing product offerings from conception, through execution, to launch.
• Load contracts, services and packages into the system, calculate pricing, test products and booking functionality,
• Deal with internal and external rail product inquiries.
• Support contracting process with suppliers and be part of the team that fosters strong, productive partnerships with current and new partners (including but not limited to: rail partners, hotels, restaurants, activities, attractions, etc…).
• Be familiar with and use all rail booking and ticketing systems accessed in UK office, including Rail Look Up System.
• Provide support in terms of contract load, auditing and procedure
• Support all relevant projects assigned in the Rail Product department
• Check rail costings, booking and ticketing to insure accuracy and compliance for all deadlines and rates.
• Research all rail profitability questions and respond in a timely manner as requested.
• Assist in educating sales team and other internal teams team about the product line.
• Attend consumer and trade shows as needed
• Answer sales calls during busy periods if necessary.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Well organized and extremely detail oriented.
• Proven ability to multi-task on multiple projects at once.
• Analytical skills and strategic thinking.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
